Your Day to Day: Garaga Mid-America is looking for a Continuous Improvement Agent for its plant in Ponca City, OK. You will identify, support, and participate in optimizing new work methodologies and conducting audits and research to improve efficiency. The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented, self-directed, organized, and analytical personality.

Our Continuous Improvement Agent Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in the preparation of projects with the production team.
- Identifies potential opportunities and makes recommendations to improve efficiency.
- Supports supervisors in implementing new work methods and training new employees.
- Participate in optimization workshops to transmit a proven work methodology.
- Conduct audits and document field observations.
- Follow up on employee training and follow-up on work methods and SOPs
- Train and mentor the staff in the Lean process's principles, methods, and applications.
- Coordinate plant-level Lean initiatives to ensure optimum use of resources and minimize waste.
- Conduct time and motion studies and/or utilize value stream mapping and process charting to establish and validate production standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Qualifications and Skills We Are Looking for in Our Continuous Improvement Agent:
- 6 to 9 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. BA preferred.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing.
- Analytical and strong problem-solving skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-directed, organized and detail-oriented.
- Have a positive attitude and is a great team leader
- Familiarity with manufacturing standards and process concepts.
Physical Demands
- 30% of the time walking the floor up to six hours daily, one or two days per week.
- Regularly requires standing, squatting, stooping, bending, and reaching throughout the day.
- Requires extraordinary hand-eye coordination and ability to work in a fast-paced area.
- Occasionally requires some twisting and lifting to 20 to 30 lbs.
